KATHMANDU: Stocks opened the week on a strong note and maintained a positive bias for the initial trading hour on Sunday. However, the benchmark Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index failed to hold to the gains and pulled back mid-day to close slightly lower. At the end, Nepse dropped 1.43 points to close at 1,189.88 points.

KATHMANDU, July 28: The benchmark Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) Index, which started the week at 1193.39 points, suffered the first trading day declining over 8 points. Despite the Nepse Index rebounding on Monday and Tuesday's trading sessions to climb up to almost 1,200-point level, stocks logged in losses in the remaining two sessions. At the end, Nepse index declined by 2.19 points on week-to-week basis to close at 1,191.20 points.

KATHMANDU, July 27: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index started the day on a higher note in the first trading hour on Thursday. However, the benchmark index declined throughout the latter session to close 3.15 points lower. The stock market index ended the week at 1,191.20 points.

KATHMANDU: Equities started the day lower and remained weak during the first half of the Wednesday's trading session. However, the benchmark Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index recovered its early losses and climbed firmly higher in the afternoon. At the close, Nepse index was up 8.04 points to close at 1,188.10 points.

KATHMANDU, June 25: The benchmark Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index moved slightly lower in the opening hour of Sunday's trading session before reaching intra-day high of 1,227.74 points. However, the index pulled back sharply during the last trading hour to close with a meager gain of 1.35 points at 1,219.81 points.
