NEPALGUNJ, April 10: Nine girls have been rescued from a brothel based in a Kashmir town of Agra, India.

KATHMANDU, Jan 26: Chairperson of Maiti Nepal and social activist Anuradha Koirala is to be honored with Padma Shri, one of the highest civilian awards provided by the Indian government. Koirala, who has been running a campaign against girls trafficking, will be honored on the occasion of 68th Republic Day of India.

RATNANAGAR (Chitwan), Jan 11: A total of 136 women were rescued from Chitwan while being trafficked to India in the past one year.

KATHMANDU, July 24: British artist and social activist Jan Salter has donated 54 of her portrait paintings to Maiti Nepal. The ninety year old artist handed over the paintings to Maiti Nepal’s Anuradha Koirala in a farewell ceremony held for her at the organization.

KANCHANPUR, July 9: As many as six women were rescued while heading to India via the western transit route at Gaddhachouki from a suspected human trafficking racket on Saturday.
