KATHMANDU, May 18: Nepal received foreign investment commitments amounting to over Rs 53 billion  in the first 10 months (mid-July to mid-April) of the current fiscal year 2023/24.

KATHMANDU, Dec 17: Foreign investment commitment to Nepal has begun to rise after a period of decline, which was attributed to the global financial crisis. In the past month alone, foreign investment in Nepal's industries has surged by 41.83 percent, signaling a positive turnaround.

KATHMANDU, Oct 1: Despite the government's claims of promoting foreign direct investment (FDI), foreign investment commitments dropped significantly in the past fiscal year. According to statistics from the Department of Industry (DoI), foreign investment commitments for the fiscal year 2022/23 have decreased by over Rs 21 billion compared to the previous year 2021/22.

KATHMANDU, Sept 24: Despite ongoing challenges in the domestic economy, Nepal is witnessing a positive trend in foreign investment commitments. In the first two months of the current fiscal year 2023/24, spanning from mid-July to mid-September (Shrawan and Bhadra), the Department of Industries has recorded foreign investment commitments amounting to approximately Rs 18 billion.
