KATHMANDU, Oct 3: Nepal has been honored with the 2023 Future Policy Award for pursuing a mercury-free policy in healthcare and dentistry.

KATHMANDU, Sept 18: The government has banned the use of mercury dental amalgam. The Ministry of Health and Population, through a minister-level decision on August 21, had issued a ban on the mercury dental amalgam last month to make the practice of dentistry free from the use of mercury.
