KATHMANDU, March 6: Dairy industries across the country are struggling to sell the milk produced by farmers as the consumption has decreased. The farmers’ representatives say that although they supply 3.1 million liters of milk to the market daily, dairy industries sell only 2.8 million liters of milk.

KATHMANDU, March 17: The government-owned Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) has hiked the price of milk by Rs 16 per liter, at a time when the general people have already been hit hard by the soaring price of most of the essentials.

KATHMANDU, Feb 20: The dairy industry has proposed increasing the price of milk by 10 rupees per liter. According to the Nepal Dairy Association, it has proposed increasing the price of milk by 10 rupees per liter based on the production cost of milk.
