Request to resolve dispute of Champawati hydropower

GORKHA, Dec 18: The local chapters of various political parties have insisted that the company building the 7 MW 'Chepe A' hydropower project, which is being constructed on the River Chepe on the border of Gorkha and Lamjung districts, should resolve the problems seen in the project immediately through negotiations with the consumers.

GORKHA, Dec 11: Locals have vandalized and set fire to a hydropower project claiming that its construction has damaged the Rainastar irrigation project in Lamjung's Rainas municipality.
