Bangladeshi diplomat Golam Sarwar assumes the office as the new SAARC secretary-general

KATHMANDU, Oct 28: Ambassador Golam Sarwar from the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has taken up his duties as the secretary-general of the South Asian Association of Regional Cooperation (SAARC), following the approval of the SAARC Council of Ministers. Ambassador Golam Sarwar is the fifteenth secretary-general of SAARC and the third secretary-general from Bangladesh.
