KMC Mayor Shah criticizes MP Development Fund: ‘MPs lowered themselves to Ward Chairperson level’

KATHMANDU, May 30: Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balendra Shah, has criticized the parliamentarians after the controversial MPs Development Fund was revived through the new budget. He commented on the social media site today that MPs of federal parliament had lowered themselves to the level of ward chairperson of local governments.

KATHMANDU, April 13: After India suspended the budget allocated to be spent under members of parliament for two years, Nepal has also started deliberations on diverting the budget allocated for the local infrastructure development partnership program to Covid-19 response activities.
