KATHMANDU, June 12: The Department of Archeology (DoA) has sent a circular to the District Administration Office, Kavrepalanchowk to stop destruction of archeological goods and structures while widening the Suryabinayak-Dhulikhel road.

KAPILVASTU, Jan 23: As part of the campaign to list Tilaurakot as a world heritage site, excavations have been started again this year inside the Tilaurakot Palace. A team of experts from the Department of Archeology has resumed the excavation of the Maurya-era pond in the central part of Tilaurakot.

KAPILVASTU, Feb 14: Since the government declared this archeologically important site a safe monument area, land acquisition has been expedited in Tilaurakot in Kapilvastu.

DOLAKHA, Sept 29: Ancient temples, stupas and heritage sites were the life of Dolakha bazaar until a few years ago. All those antiquities crumbled into pieces all at once when the magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit the country on April 25, 2015. Amid the chaos of people, the heritage sites never got proper attention.
