KATHMANDU, May 23: Lawmakers of the House of Representatives (HoR) have demanded to change the name of the 'Zero Hour' of the Parliament.
Speaking at Zero Hour of the HoR on Tuesday, Nepali Congress(NC) lawmaker Ram Hari Khatiwada demanded that the name of 'Zero Hour’ be changed into ‘Hearing Hour'.

“Sunya Samaya' does not mean Zero Hour. This should be renamed as hearing hour. The time should be allocated for ministers to hear what lawmakers have to say. Everyone should pay attention to this," said Khatiwada.
Khatiwada said that more than 168,000 cases are pending to be heard due to the absence of a parliamentary hearing committee. He also demanded that arrangements be made for the appointment of the Chief Justice as soon as possible.
