YSEF plans to extend two-to-three week training to be provided by CTEVT if it comes with good result.
"We decided to join hands with the CTEVT as it has standard curriculums for training courses and numerous regional training centers in different parts of the country," said Punya Prasad Regmi, executive vice-chairperson of the YSEF. “Moreover, the CTEVT itself approached us with the proposal for the training.”
The YSEF provides different kind of market-oriented trainings and financial assistance to the unemployed and underemployed youths basically though cooperative organizations and the state-run banks such as Agriculture Development Bank, Rastriya Banijya Bank and Nepal Bank.
If any youth applies for business in cooperatives, the YSEF grant financial assistance at zero collateral and a low interest rate for a three-year term loan.
"Earlier, we provided trainings through various organizations, but the quality of such trainings were quite poor,” Regmi informed.
In the current fiscal year, the YSEF aims to provide employment training to around 50,000 youths in all the 75 districts.
Member secretary of the CTEVT Ram Hari Lamichhane said, "We have already expanded the training centers across the country and can manage manpower for training in any districts."
Regmi said that the training provided by the CTEVT is cost-efficient and can be organized even at the village level.
