Youth leaders to continue protests until PM quits

KATHMANDU, Aug 11: A coalition of youth wings of various 21 parties has decided to continue protest programs to compel Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai to resign from his post.



Speaking at an interaction program organized in Reporters’ Club on Saturday, the youth leaders also unveiled a series of protest program including disruption of ‘Youth Day’ celebrations by the government on Sunday. [break]



The leaders have also warned to shut down educational institutions with foreign names and affiliation to CTEVT.



Chairman of Youth Association Nepal (YAN) Mahesh Basnet warned that they would oust the PM from Baluwatar and seize the area. He said that the protest would go on unless the PM quits.



Chairman of Tarun Dal Udaya Shumsher Rana alleged that the Maoists wanted to seize the state power and warned that they would not let fulfill Maoists’ intensions.
