Youth killed in police action

JANAKPUR, June 29: A youth was killed in police action at Purandaha of Bhutahi Paterwas-9 of Dhanusha on Sunday night. The youth, 25, died on the spot and is yet to be identified even though the police suspect that the youth could be Ajay Mandal.



The deceased youth, along with his friend, tried to stop a vehicle but tried to flee after coming to know that it was a police vehicle. “He died when police opened fire at him ,” SP Yadav Raj Khanal said. “The other guy ran into the forest.”



Police recovered a homemade pistol, two rounds of bullet, four letter pads of Madhesi Silent Killers and a page with contact number of 17 businessmen of Janakpur from him.
