The body was found in the middle of the river below the bridge that borders Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts. Tamang´s elder brother Ram Bahadur Tamang said Dhan Bahadur used to work as transport worker and was last seen at his rented apartment in Gwarko Saturday morning.
Police have initiated an investigation into the death. Police Sub-Inspector Bhanu Bhakta Kharel at Balkumari Police Post said the body has been taken to a hospital for post mortem. Family sources said Dhan Bahadur used to drink heavily and his wife had also deserted him earlier due to the same reason. This is the third case in which a dead body has been found in the River near the bridge over the last six months.
