Young man stoned to death at Kalanki in capital, one arrested

KATHMANDU, March 21: A young man was stoned to death at Kalanki in Kathmandu on Sunday morning.

KATHMANDU, March 21: A young man was stoned to death at Kalanki in Kathmandu on Sunday morning.


The man was critically injured after being stoned and was rushed to Sahid Memorial Hospital for treatment where he breathed his last. According to police, the victim's identity is yet to be established.

The assailant has been identified as 21-year-old Dinesh Thapa. Police have arrested him and furhter investigation into the murder case is underway.


Meanwhile, yet another man has been found dead in Balambu, Chandragiri Municipality. His body was found along the roadside. According to police, the body has been sent to TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, for a postmortem. The deceased is yet to be identified.
