KATHMANDU, July 23: Police have detained a man for illegally carrying US dollars. Nurpu Tamang was apprehended with $20,000 while attempting to travel to China.
A joint team of Nepal Police and the Rasuwa Customs Office under the command of Sub-Inspector of the Armed Police Force (APF) BOP Timure, intercepted Tamang at the Rasuwagadhi checkpoint in Gosainkund Rural Municipality-2 at 11 AM on Tuesday.

Police have said that Tamang was en route to China with the illicit funds. He is currently held at the Area Police Office, Timure for further investigation.
