YAN General Secretary Rajiv Pahari said that Nepalis who have been contributing to the country´s economy should not be deprived of such an important election.

"Around 3 million Nepalis are abroad and are contributing to nation´s economy," Pahari said, "They should be provided with early voting facility."

He also demanded that minimum age to cast votes in the election should be 16 years. "There are around 2.5 million youths aged 16 to 18 years. They should also be granted voting rights," Pahari said.

Along with CA elections, the YAN has demanded elections of the local bodies.

“We have also demanded action against Maoist leader Bal Krishna Dhungel,” Pahari said, “We want the chairman who is also the chief justice to implement the Supreme Court’s verdict.”
