Yami's secy demanded 6-digit donation: Sthapit

KATHMANDU, Jan 24: Former Kathmandu Valley Town Development Authority (KVTDA), Keshav Sthapit, accused that he was sacked from the post after he ´failed please´ prime minister´s wife Hisila Yami and her secretary Januka.



Sthapit said Yami ´frequently demanded money´ from him. [break]



“Januka called me up and informed that a team of around 200 will be visiting my house for deusi celebration in last Tihar, which I agreed. She demanded a six-digit donation while other members of the team insisted on seven-digit. I made it clear that I won´t be able to pay such a hefty sum and turned them away,” Sthapit added, “This incident prompted differences with me.”



He also claimed that Januka demanded Rs 2 million in return to three-month extension of his tenure after he filed a writ petition at Supreme Court against his removal on Sunday.
