Yamaha launches Ray Z scooter

KATHAMANDU: MAW Entriprises, the authorized distributor of Yamaha two-wheelers in Nepal, has launched Ray Z scooter in the Nepali market.



Actress Namrata Shrestha, the brand ambassador of Ray Z and Vishnu Kumar Agarwal, managing director of MAW Enterprises, jointly launched the scooter at the NADA Auto Show 2013.



Speaking at the launching ceremony, Gaurav Hamal, marketing head of the company said, “This is the better version of Yamaha scooter with more slim, attractive and sporty model”. The scooter is designed for young male as well as female consumers with the concept of Aggressive Sporty Design, Hamal added. [break]



The new model is powered by the air-cooled 4-stroke 115cc engine with its smooth start-up acceleration and good pickup. The engine generates maximum power of 7 bhp at 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 8.1 nm at 5500 rpm, the company said in a press statement. The Ray Z can 60 kmph from 0 in just 12 seconds having top speed of 85 kmph.



Yamaha Ray Z is available in the market at Rs 162,900.
