Yamaha to celebrate Scooter Day on March 7

KATHMANDU, Mar 6: Yamaha is all set to celebrate the first ‘Scooter Day’ to honor contributions on March 7.

KATHMANDU, Mar 6: Yamaha is all set to celebrate the first ‘Scooter Day’ to honor contributions on March 7.


The idea of this day is that scooters made in bringing the freedom, confidence and empowerment in life. The company has informed that it will celebrate as a  joyous day dedicated to the scooter lovers.

 Mr. Pradeep Pokhrel, AGM- Marketing and BD of Yamaha division of MAW Enterprises said, ‘The scooter day will be featured with a number of events across the nation including a nationwide free scooter wash campaign at Yamaha service centers.”


He also requested scooter riders to celebrate scooter day by taking Care, making repairs, servicing and sharing best moments with scooters. Meanwhile, as a part of CSR initiative, MAW Enterprises will be donating two Yamaha scooters to Nepal Traffic Police on the same day.


We have expected this effort will help, at the least, in managing the hefty traffic of Kathmandu valley, Marketing chief Pokhrel said. Yamaha will also felicitate pioneer scooter rider, probably the first in Nepal, Mrs. Kamala Shrestha on the occasion of International Women Day on 8 March 2018. She will be honored with a brand Yamaha scooter.


MAW Enterprise will conduct road safety awareness programs at five main places (Baneshwor, Tripureshwor, Chabahil, Kumaripati, and Jadibuti) and through Facebook pages of Yamaha Nepal and Yescooter campaign on scooter day.
