Yadav termed the appointment of his party colleague and leader of MPRF´s parliamentary party Bijay Gachchhadhar as deputy prime minister "unconstitutional". He also termed it a ploy by other political parties to split his party, and has called a press conference at 2 pm.
On Thursday, Gachchhadar was inducted into the cabinet as deputy prime minister and minister for Physical Planning and Works.
Yadav is furious over a decision of the four political parties - Nepali Congress, Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist), Tarai Madhes Democratic Party and Sadbhavana Party -- to invite Gachchhadar to lead his party in the government. He had threatened to withdraw the support to the government at that time as well.
When the dispute over representation in the cabinet and party´s leadership in the government started turning ugly, MPRF leaders and cadres exerted pressure on the Yadav and Gachchhadar to setle it amicably. A taskforce formed to address the feud had decided that both the leaders would be sent to the cabinet.
