World Milk Day being marked today

KATHMANDU, June 1: The National Dairy Development Board, Dairy Development Corporation, Nepal Dairy Association and the Dairy Industries Association today organized a morning rally beginning from Tripureshwor and marched through Thapathali, Kopundole and converged at the Boards´ office, under the slogan ´Drink pure milk: live a healthy life´ on the occasion of World Milk Day.



The World Milk Day is observed across the globe on June 1, 2001. However, it started to be marked in Nepal only since June 1, 2011.[break]



Speaking at the function, Technical Director at the Board, Dr Balak Chaudhary underlined the importance of drinking milk for healthy life.



The Board is organizing various programmes today to mark the World Milk Day.
