President Bidya Devi Bhandari is attending an event in Nepalgunj today afternoon being organized by Ministry of Environment. Minister for Forest and Environment Shakti Bahadur Basnet and senior government officials are attending the event.

In a tweet, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli expressed best wishes to the Nepali people on the occasion of the World Environment Day.
He urged the Nepali people to work towards maintaining the balance between development and environment and making the "One Nepali: One Fruit Plant" campaign successful.
The World Environment Day falls on June 5 every year. The theme for this year's World Environment Day is "Beat air pollution".
