KATHMANDU, Oct 4: A party working committee of Nepali Congress is underway to discuss recent political development and to form parliamentary board to finalize the candidates for upcoming elections for parliament and provincial assemblies.
The meeting ongoing at Baluwatar will ponder the new political development following the decision on electoral alliance between the three leftist parties.
Likewise, the meeting will also decide regarding the parliamentary board that will finalize the candidates for the upcoming elections. As per the party’s status, the parliamentary board will hold the right to confirm the candidates.
The last date to submit the closed name list of the proportionate candidates of the parliament is October 15. However, the party has delayed forming the board yet.
