Woman who fell into well in Imadol rescued successfully

KATHMANDU, Jan 15: A woman who fell into a well in Imadol in Lalitpur has been rescued safely.

KATHMANDU, Jan 15: A woman who fell into a well in Imadol in Lalitpur has been rescued safely.


DSP Umesh Joshi, head of Satdobato Police Office, said that the woman was rescued after about two and a half hours with the help of Nepal Army, Nepal Police and the locals.

Joshi said that she is currently being treated at Patan Hospital. He said, “She was rescued and taken to Patan Hospital. She is able to speak. Her limbs may have been injured.”


Newton Pradhan, 28, who lives in Imadol and is a permanent resident of Dolakha, fell into the well. She climbed over the well while trying to dry her clothes in the morning. Police said that she fell into the well after the slab covering the well broke down.


When the local police team could not rescue, a disaster rescue team had reached the spot for her rescue.
