RASUWA, Sep 3: Police officials arrested a woman for attempting to smuggle gold illegally across the North Rasuwa region. The individual in custody has been identified as 41-year-old Pachemu Tamang, hailing from Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-3, Uggam.

BIHAR, May 1: A woman allegedly hanged herself after killing her three kids in Magra area of Bihar's Gaya district, police said. "A woman named Malti Devi and her three children were found dead on Saturday in the Magra police station area of Gaya," Himanshu, City Superintendent of Police (SP) said.

Women make more than half of Nepal’s population and the Constitution of Nepal 2015 has a provision for mandatory 33 percent women’s participation in all state organs. But the implementation of this constitutional provision has been challenged ever since it was made. It would be a matter of some consolation even if at least one of the seven CMs were a woman.
