MAHOTTARI, Aug 6: A woman in Mahottari has succumbed to her burn injuries after reportedly setting herself on fire. According to reports, dispute with her husband Anil Yadav forced Chunchun, 22, to set herself ablaze. The local of Damhi village breathed her last on Wednesday while on the way to hospital, informed District Police Office, Mahottari.  

Following a heated argument between the husband and wife, Chunchun poured kerosene over her body and set herself on fire. As smoke got released from the room and Chunchun started shouting, neighbors rushed to the site. They forced open the door and doused the fire before taking her to the district hospital. Police said she was referred to a hospital in Kathmandu by the doctors but she died on the way.

During her treatment at Jaleshwar District Hospital, Chunchun had told police that she set herself on fire after her husband verbally abused her. After post mortem, her dead body has been handed over to the family members. The couple has two kids.
