The deceased has been identified as Bimala Pokhrel, 25, of Bhandara-9 in the district.
The accident took place when a mini-bus (Ga 1 Kha 1973) heading towards west from east hit her scooter coming from opposite direction.
Sub-inspector at the Area Police office, Bhadara, Lokendra Malla said that Pokhrel died on the spot in the accident.
Police have impounded the mini-bus and the bus driver has been absconding after the incident.
