CHITWAN, August 5: A woman was killed in an attack of a wild elephant in the Dakshinkali community forest in Bharatpur Metropolitan City in Chitwan on Friday noon.
The deceased identified as Maya BK, 51, of Devnagar in the metropolis had gone to the forest to collect fodder when the tusker attacked her, according to Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, Information Officer at the Chitwan National Park. A joint team of the CNP and District Police Office, Chitwan, has been deployed to the incident site.
