Woman dies in bull attack in Butwal

KATHMANDU, Aug 10: A woman has died after being attacked by a loose bull in Butwal. Sita Pandey, 45, who was seriously injured in the attack, passed away during treatment at Lumbini Regional Hospital today.

According to the District Police in Butwal, Sita, originally from Resunga Municipality-4 of Gulmi and currently residing in Golpark, Butwal Sub-metropolitan City-3, was attacked on August 4 by two stray fighting bulls while on her way to a dairy shop to get milk. After being seriously injured, she was rushed to Lumbini Regional Hospital for treatment.

Butwal Sub-metropolitan City has built a cowshed inside the Shivnagar Community Forest of Butwal to house loose cattle. However, due to insufficient control, there is still a risk of vehicle accidents on the road.
