KATHMANDU, Jan 11: A woman and her two children died in Mahalakshmi Municipality-3 in Imadol of Lalitpur.

SSP Shekhar Khanal of District Police Range, Lalitpur said that Rabina Maharjan, who lives in Ochu Height, died after jumping from the third floor of her house. "After seeing Rabina falling, locals rescued her and took her to Kist Hospital. But she died during the treatment," he said.

Soon after, two children were also found unconscious in the room. Her daughter, two-year-old Riwa Maharjan and six-year-old Ashwet Maharjan, were also rescued and taken to Kist Hospital in an unconscious state. SSP Khanal said that both died during treatment.

The cause of death of two people has not been revealed. "The cause of death will be revealed from the post-mortem," he said. 

It is suspected that Rabina may have committed suicide. However, no suicide note was found in her room.

She was living in the house with her husband, mother-in-law and two children. Her husband was not at home when the incident happened. "Investigation is currently underway", said SSP Khanal.
