DAMAK, Dec 16: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has called on the government to withdraw the constitution amendment motion tabled at the parliament.
Former Prime Minister Oli said this at a program organized to mark the golden jubilee of Mahendraratna Secondary School at Lopgachhi-3 in Jhapa on Friday.
The constitution amendment motion has resulted in political crisis, he said, reiterating that the parliamentary process would not resume until the amendment proposal is taken back.
Urging the government to enable political environment for political consensus and collaboration by withdrawing the proposal, he stressed the need to create election atmosphere as holding local election is the only constitutional way out.
