With 130 new cases witnessed in the past 24 hours, Nepal's COVID-19 tally reaches 18,613

KATHMANDU, July 26: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) reported 130 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nepal on Sunday.

KATHMANDU, July 26: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) reported 130 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nepal on Sunday.


According to Dr Jageshwar Gautam, the spokesperson for MoHP, 130 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours through 3,300 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests conducted in various COVID-19 Labs. This takes the COVID-19 tally in the country to 18,613.

As of Sunday, there are 186 active cases in Province 1, 1,873 in Province 2,444 in Bagmati Province, 294 in Gandaki Province, 398 in Province 5, 367 in Karnali Province and 1,918 in the Far-Western Province. According to the latest data from the ministry, there are 5,440 active cases of COVID-19 in Nepal.


So far, 13,128 COVID-19 patients have recovered and returned home. 


Similarly, over 17,903 people are currently staying in various isolation centers across the country.
