KATHMANDU, April 13: The meeting of the Constituent Assembly changed his timeline Monday and decided to extend the tenure of the winter session of the parliament till May 14. "In consultation with the Business Advisory Committee, the timeline of the CA has been changed " CA Chair Subas Nembang said while tabling the motion for meeting´s approval. Earlier, Business Advisory Committee decided to decided to extend the tenure of the winter session because of the failure of the parliament to enter into its agenda for two weks because of boycott of the meetings by ruling CPN-UML and opposition Nepali Congress.
As per the point-5 of the CA calendar, the fifth session of the Legislature-Parliament was supposed to be prorogued by April 13, after completing all the necessary legislative fworks. The government has registered more than 20 bills in the parliament to get them passed in the winter session.
In the six-minute-long meeting that began at 3:30 p.m., CA Chair Nembang informed the House about death of Nepali Congress member in the CA, Bodh Narayan Sardar. The seat fell vacant now, according to Nembang.
