Speaker Subas Nembang read out the letter sent by the President Dr Ram Baran Yadav about the commencement of parliament at the first meeting of the seventh session.
Also, Finance Minister Surendra Pandey tabled finance ordinance (first amendment)-2010 which sought parliament´s approval for the ordinance the government had recently issued to raise the custom duty on gold to Rs 470 per ten grams.
The next meeting of parliament will held on Wednesday.
