KATHMANDU, Dec 18: The Embassy of Pakistan, Kathmandu, awarded the winners of the 8th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Essay Writing Competition and 4th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Speech Competition amidst a special function organized in the capital on Tuesday.
The students who secured the first, second and third positions in the competition were presented gold, silver and bronze medals along with certificates and cash prizes of Rs. 50,000, 40,000, and 35,000, respectively. The next ten best students were also presented with a cash prize of Rs 5,000 each.

The topic of the speech competition was 'Inclusive rather than exclusive approach holds the key to success'. Likewise, winners of “Silk route: Past, Present and Future" in the essay competition received Rs. 50,000, 40,000, 35,000 and 25,000 respectively. The next twelve best students received a cash prize of Rs 5,000 each.
Over 1,000 Nepali students from higher secondary Level (10+2) to university level participated in the two competitions. Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Mazhar Javed, highlighted the importance of youth interaction between the two countries. The two competitions are held every year in order to foster closer relations between the peoples of Nepal and Pakistan.
