Who should not receive COVID-19 vaccines?

KATHMANDU, July 14: Here is the list of people who should not receive the shots of COVID-19 vaccines, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

KATHMANDU, July 14: Here is the list of people who should not receive the shots of COVID-19 vaccines, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

  • People below 18 years

  • Those people who suffered serious allergies after receiving their first jab

  • Those who suffered other serious health complications due to the vaccine

  • Those who have suffered serious health issues due to any vaccines, medicines or food items

  • People who are currently serious ill and have high fever

  • Those COVID-19 patients who had undergone treatment through Monoclonal antibodies or Convalescent Plasma can receive jabs after 90 days of treatment

  • COVID-19 patients can receive the vaccine after 30 days of recovery


Nepal is currently administering Vero Cell and J & J vaccines across the country. Japan has also announced the donation of almost 1.6 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccines which are expected to be delivered to Nepal soon.
