WHO inquires about possible COVID-19 vaccine developed in Nepal

KATHMANDU: The World Health Organization (WHO) on Wednesday inquired about the possible vaccine against COVID-19 developed at the Hetauda-based Tribhuvan University Institute of Forestry.

Last month, Prof Dr Lalit Kumar Das of the institute had claimed that he had developed a vaccine to combat COVID-19. “The WHO has inquired about the vaccine Dr Das developed last month,” Asst Prof Krishna Prasad Dahal, told Republica Online over the phone.


The United Nations health agency inquired Dr Das about the vaccine he has developed through a video conference, said Dahal.
