Western winds reinvite rainfall, snowfall for another three days

The western wind that brought three days of rainfall and snowfall across the country from February 7 to February 9 will occur once again, according to the Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: The western wind that brought three days of rainfall and snowfall across the country from February 7 to February 9 will occur once again, according to the Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.


According to the Department, rainfall and snowfall are the forecasts from today until Saturday.

“The western disturbance will once again cause rainfall and snowfall across the country,” Shanti Kadel, a meteorologist at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said. However, “it won’t be as heavy as that of February 7,” she added.


The hills surrounding Kathmandu valley will receive snowfall and temperature will see a decline.  “Weather conditions will deteriorate on Friday and Saturday,” Kadel added.
