KATHMANDU, Feb 6: There is a partial influence of westerly winds in Nepal at present, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

At present, the weather is partly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country and it is mainly clear in the rest of the country. There is fog and mist in a few places in the Terai region.

The MFD said that the weather will be mostly clear in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces this afternoon. There is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and the high hilly and mountainous areas of Sudurpaschim Province.

Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear in the rest of the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces. There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
