KATHMANDU, March 14: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has promised to start a one-doorservice to solve the problems of foreign investors.
Addressing the Nepal-China Business Forum 2023 jointly organized by the Confederation of Nepalese Industries and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) on Tuesday, Prime Minister Dahal said that the government is in the process of passing a law to start a one-door service to solve the problems faced by foreign investors. Prime Minister Dahal has announced that the government will soon create an environment for foreign investors to get all kinds of services from one place.

He mentioned that Nepal needs big investment and new technology for infrastructure development. He said that the Chinese government will support the introduction of new technologies and large investments. Prime Minister Dahal insisted that Nepal is not getting the investment as promised by the Chinese government because the government's policies and regulations are a factor, so the government is committed to bringing in more and more investments by simplifying the rules and regulations. He also requested to facilitate the export of Ayurvedic medicines, vegetables, tea, meat and other products exported from Nepal to China. Prime Minister Dahal expressed his commitment that the government will not allow Nepali land to be used against its neighbors.
In the program, CCPIT Vice President Zhang Shaogang emphasized that since the relationship between Nepal and China has been expanding for 67 years, the relationship between the two countries should be further strengthened in the future. He said that 98 percent of goods exported from Nepal have been given access to the market by the Chinese government with tax exemptions. Vice President Zhang Shogang expressed his belief that the economy will expand when Chinese citizens visit Nepal as the Chinese government has also included Nepal as a tourist destination. He said that it is the policy of the Chinese government to promote bilateral trade. He also said that they are working to identify new areas for investment and cooperation in Nepal. He said that they are planning to cooperate with Nepal in the fields of clean energy, technology and electricity.
In the program, Chinese ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, expressed his commitment to support Nepal, which is being upgraded from an underdeveloped country to a developing country, in infrastructure development. Ambassador Chen urged Nepalis to visit China. Bishnu Prasad Agarwal, president of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), stressed that the Chinese government should open the Nepali borders and create a comfortable environment for business. Discussions between Nepalis and Chinese businessmen have started since Monday. After about four years, there was a discussion between the businessmen of Nepal and China. A 12-member team including CCPIT Vice President Zhang Shogang has come to Nepal for the meeting.
