Ward secretary held with Rs 53,000 bribe

KATHMANDU, August 4: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Friday arrested a ward secretary for allegedly taking bribe in Bishnupur Rural Municipality of the district.

KATHMANDU, August 4: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Friday arrested a ward secretary for allegedly taking bribe in Bishnupur Rural Municipality of Saptari district.

Acting on a tip-off an anti-graft body held Sanjaya Kumar Dev with Rs

53,000 from a tea shop from Rastriya Banijya Bank in Rajbiraj Muncipality-3.

He allegedly took the bribe from locals for road maintenance in Boriya VDC- 8 and 9.
