POKHARA, Nov 26:Voting at Nur-Fu rural municipality-3 of Manang completed. Of the 104 voters, 75 voted in the election, Ram Krishna Tamang, election officer said. The remaining 29 voters were away.



“Between 10:30 – 12:30, only two votes have fallen,” Tamang said adding that one of the residents had informed the election officer that there others wouldn’t come to vote as they were away.

Voters reached the polling center early as they had to return home, Tamang said adding that people from Meta had walked as much as four hours to cast their votes.


Hari Prasad Pant, Chief District Officer of Manang said around 3000 out of 5889 voters, had cast their votes. He added that maximum votes had already fallen and it was unlikely that the remaining would come to vote.


Likewise, Ramchandra Tiwari, Chief District Officer of Mustang said that of around 4100 voters out of 9427 had already cast their votes and it was unlikely more would come to cast votes either. “However, we need to stay until 5 PM to give exact figures,” Tiwari said.
