Voting at 2 polling centers halted in Gorkha

GORKHA, May 14:Voting at two polling centers has been halted at Ward-8 of Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality in Gorkha district.

The voting has been halted after Nepal Congress and Naya Shakti Nepal cadres scuffled with each other.

The scuffle had taken place outside the premises of polling center. After the representatives of Nepali Congress and Naya Shakti Party deployed in the polling center went out of the polling center following the scuffle, the voting had been halted.

The additional team of police personnel has been dispatched to the incident site under the leadership of DSP Birendra Thapa with a view to preempting further clashes, according to District Police Office, Gorkha.
