Police fire into air in Melamchi Municipality, voting at 2 polling centers postponed

SINDHUPALCHOWK , May 14: Police have fired 3 warning shots into the air at the polling center set up at Jegeswori Lower Secondary School in Melamchi Municipality following a scuffle with some angry voters.

The scuffle between police and locals broke out after some voters queuing up tried to overtake those votes queuing up ahead of them.

The voting has been postponed for a short period of time. The voting will be resumed after a hiatus of short time, DSP Shyam Krishna Adhikari told Republica Online.

Likewise, police have opened fire into the air at   Bhimtar polling center in course of dispersing the angry crowd of people who were getting involved in scuffle with each other over the issue connected with one differently-abled  voter.
