Vote counting underway in Jumla

JUMLA, May 15: The local level elections' vote counting is underway in Chandannath Municipality and the Patarasi, Hima, Kankasundari village councils here in the district.

JUMLA, May 15: The local level elections' vote counting is underway in Chandannath Municipality and the Patarasi, Hima, Kankasundari village councils here in the district. 



District's Chief Election Official, Basudev Neupane, confirmed the start of the counting of votes from a ward of the municipality. 



In the first round, 112 votes were counted in which Nepali Congress' mayoral candidate Kantika Sejuwal leads the table with 66 votes while Jagat Bahadur Khatri trails behind with 53 votes. CPN (Maoist Centre) mayoral candidate Ashok Shrestha has so far garnered 28 votes whereas Apsara Jyaupane has 30 votes. 



CPN (UML) mayoral candidate Shantilal Mahat has so far garnered 10 votes while Menaka Regmi Chaulagain has eight votes. RSS
