KATHMANDU, Jan 30: United States Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland had a courtesy meeting with Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Monday.
Former PM Deuba's Secretariat said that in the meeting, the two discussed the issues of strengthening cooperation in bilateral relations, democracy, development and good governance. In the meeting, Deuba expressed his gratitude to the US for the continuous assistance and support.
US Under Secretary of State Nuland came here on Sunday for a two-day visit to Nepal. She was sworn in as Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs in April 2021. Prior to that, she was a Senior Consultant at the Albright Stonebridge Group, a global strategic consulting and commercial diplomacy firm based in Washington, DC.
