KATHMANDU, Sept 24: Supporters of Dr Govinda KC took to the streets in Kathmandu on Thursday to express solidarity with the demands raised by him.
They gathered at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu in the afternoon despite heavy rainfall and chanted slogans against the government for its failure to address the demands put forth by Dr KC. A minor clash also erupted between the agitating supporters of Dr KC and police personnel on duty as the protesters attempted to enter the restricted zone.
Dr KC is currently on his 19th hunger strike demanding reforms in the medical sector of the country. Youths supporting Dr KC have been staging demonstrations expressing solidarity with Dr KC for the past few days in the capital.
