KATHMANDU, Feb 22: Nepal imported vehicles worth Rs 70.83 billion in the first seven months of the current fiscal year.
According to the DoC, the country imported 221,000 units of automobiles, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, auto rickshaws, cars, tractors, passenger buses, commercial vehicles and heavy equipment during the period.

Of the total imports, the country imported 6,922 four-wheelers and passenger buses worth Rs 16.80 billion. Likewise, imports of 142,724 two-wheelers amounted to Rs 18.22 billion.
The government collected Rs 56.63 billion in revenue from vehicle imports during the review period.
