The Valley has witnessed more than 100 new COVID-19 cases on three consecutive days. MoHP confirmed 134 and 138 infections on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively. Similarly, the Valley reported 92 cases on Sunday while new cases on Monday stood at 44.

As new cases keep increasing in the country including the capital Valley following the lifting of the nearly four-month long nationwide lockdown, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) on Wednesday directed all 77 District Administration Offices (DAOs) in the country to suspend issuing ‘vehicle passes’ being distributed so far for inter-district travel starting Thursday. This directive will remain effective until further notice.
